Service

Service has always been integral part of my work at any university. Whenever possible I try to connect the content of my classes to real issues in the local community. My students, for instance, work on projects intended to reveal rhetorical fallacies in speeches by local politicians, or develop proposals and design materials for educational supplements for Armenian regional schools.

In the last four years, I have worked on various research projects with both students and faculty intended to connect the university with the local community. I am also on the board of  AUA‘s AGBU Papazian Library and serve the student community as advisor to the TEDxAUA  and “The World of Culture” clubs.

I also serve as an associate editor at the International Exchanges on the Study of Writing Book Series at the WAC Clearinghouse.
