I am an Associate Professor of English at the American University of Armenia. My academic background spans rhetoric and composition, Slavic studies, local development, and literary translation, and my professional experience includes teaching, editorial work, international education, and writing-program development in the United States and Armenia.

I hold a PhD in English from Washington State University, an MA in English from Appalachian State University, an MA in Local Development from the Universities of Trento and Bolzano, an MA in Slavic Studies from Sofia University, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Literary Translation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

I work across English, Bulgarian, Italian, Czech, and Russian, with additional knowledge of several South Slavic languages.
