Between Armenian, Russian, and English
This project examines how Armenia’s education system negotiates Armenian linguistic sovereignty, the inherited regional authority of Russian, and the expanding role of English in higher education, professional mobility, and knowledge production. It asks whether Armenia’s geopolitical and educational realignment is producing greater intellectual autonomy or relocating the country within a different linguistic hierarchy.
Localizing Justice
This project studies how Armenian university students use English to contribute locally grounded knowledge to Wikipedia. It examines neutrality, sourcing, translation, and the unequal visibility of Armenian knowledge within global Anglophone information systems.
Public Memory after Soviet Rule
This research examines monuments, maps, digital media, and public performances as sites where citizens contest Soviet and post-Soviet historical narratives across Bulgaria, Armenia, and the wider region.
